Premier attends Council of the Federation meeting

Premier Kathy Dunderdale is attending a meeting of the Council of the Federation in Halifax, July 25 to 27 at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel, 1919 Upper Water Street. Nova Scotia Premier Darrell Dexter is chairing the meeting to discuss a number of important issues including health care, fiscal arrangements, energy and the economy.

Premier Dunderdale is also attending a meeting of Premiers and National Aboriginal Organization Leaders on the morning of Wednesday, July 25, in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.

The Council of the Federation comprises all 13 provincial and territorial premiers. It enables premiers to work collaboratively to strengthen the Canadian federation by fostering a constructive relationship among the provinces and territories, and with the Federal Government.
